Is part of an conscious effort of Miryam Monasterios to draw our attention to her interest and concern for preserving the environment, to make it more sustainable and to be less aggressive to it in all our daily activities.

That is why she provides us with the gift in glass, on a permanent basis, of this exotic plant whose flower grows lonely in peaceful ponds and whose symbolism is abundant in the cultures of the Middle and Far East, of wich, one of the most outsanding belongs to the lotus flower, as it is also known, due to its great spiritual significance as a transmutation symbol.

Each color expresses a meaning: White, Spiritual perfection and purity of mind; Blue: Wisdom & Knowledge; Rose, the supreme loto; Red: Love and compassion. Lotus reminds us that, even amid the difficulties and chaos, can flourish the best in each of us. This allegory is also favorable from the perspective of hope that Miryam has of people and life itself.

Furniture–Design and making

The versatility and design of this piece of furniture was the keystone for our team.

During the process of this beautiful and unique design our architect took care of the color and structure for it to harmonize with the environment and other elements around the lobby also the architect created a design fort this piece of furniture so it doesn’t look heavy, on the contrary it looks almost like it's floating. This versatile piece of furniture is a mesmerizing piece of art named equilibrium.

The desire to design everyday objects into a highly personalized and unique manner was a challenge that our architect had decided to take on for the design of the lobby furniture of @barceloaruba
